OpsIQ FAQ: Pricing, AI Chat, Tickets and Security

This article provides answers regarding OpsIQ pricing, free trials, AI chat, tickets, tracking, webhooks, currency, and 2FA security. Get set up quickly and start operating with confidence.

Getting Started

OpsIQ is an AI-powered operations platform for websites and online businesses. It combines visitor tracking, customer chat, admin chat, tickets, AI writing, analytics, webhooks, billing tools, notifications, and account management.

Who uses OpsIQ?
Business owners, admins, support agents, sales teams, developers, and customers utilize different parts of OpsIQ. Admins manage the platform from the OpsIQ admin dashboard, while customers manage their profile, preferences, tickets, and billing in their account area.

Can OpsIQ work as a cloud platform and a self-hosted system?
Yes, OpsIQ supports both a managed cloud-style setup and self-hosted deployments. In both cases, the goal is to connect websites, track activity, support customers, and automate safe actions.

What should I configure first?
Start with branding, currency, admin security, departments, tracking, customer account pages, notifications, then AI chat and webhooks. This approach makes testing easier and avoids enabling too much at once.

How long until I see a result?
Most teams achieve their first measurable result within about two weeks, including a share of conversations handled by AI, faster first-reply times, and a few tools switched off. There is no implementation-services contract — simply sign up, connect your platforms, and start operating.

Pricing and Billing

How is OpsIQ priced?
OpsIQ is sold on simple subscription plans rather than per-seat surprises. Higher plans unlock premium capabilities such as Promotion Studio, Site Intelligence, custom HTML, and higher campaign and connector limits. Please refer to the pricing page for current tiers in your local currency.

Is there a free or trial option?
Yes, you can start for free and explore the core operating layer — chat, tickets, tracking, and connectors — before committing to a paid plan.

Can I pay in my local currency?
Yes, the marketing site auto-detects your country and displays pricing in the region's enabled currency. You can also manually override the currency. Operators control which currencies are enabled.

What payment methods are supported?
Nine payment gateways are available: Stripe, PayPal, Paystack, Flutterwave, Razorpay, Mollie, Pesapal (M-Pesa), and crypto via NOWPayments and Plisio. Each runs in test or live mode, and the methods available at checkout depend on your operator's configuration.

How is AI billed — is it included in my plan?
AI is billed on a pay-as-you-go basis and is never bundled into the plan price — no plan includes a free token allotment. With Managed AI, you pay only for the tokens the AI processes, from a prepaid wallet or one-time token packs, at a per-plan rate that decreases with higher tiers. Alternatively, you can use BYOK and pay your own provider directly. Token packs are available on every plan, including the free Starter plan.

Can I use my own AI provider keys (BYOK)?
Yes, you can connect your own OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, or xAI Grok key, and OpsIQ will send requests directly to that provider, billed by them with no markup from us. You can also use Managed mode, where OpsIQ meters usage from your wallet. You can switch modes and choose models per feature.

What happens if I cancel?
You will retain access until the end of the paid period. Your data can be exported at any time using the export tools, and retention settings control how long logs are kept afterward.

Cloud vs Self-hosted

What is the difference between Cloud and Self-hosted?
Cloud is a managed, multi-workspace setup that we run for you, allowing for the fastest start with automatic updates. Self-hosted runs OpsIQ on your own server under a license, giving you full control over data location and infrastructure. The feature set is the same for both options.

Do both get the same updates?
Yes, releases are shipped to both Cloud and Self-hosted users alike — the same release for everyone, not an enterprise-only fork.

Can I run multiple websites or clients?
Yes, Remote Sites allow multiple websites to send tracking, chat, and event data into one dashboard. Agencies can manage many client workspaces from a single hub with per-client permissions.

Where is my data stored on Cloud?
Each workspace is isolated by tenant. If you have specific data residency requirements, please contact us about options. Self-hosting allows you to keep the entire data path on your own infrastructure.

Can I move from Cloud to Self-hosted later?
Yes, because the platform and data model are the same for both, you can export your data and migrate. Please talk to support to plan a migration.

AI and Data Privacy

Which AI models does OpsIQ use?
OpsIQ supports multiple providers and model tiers, with a cheaper model for routine tasks and a stronger model for complex ones. Operators configure provider keys and model selection.

Is my data used to train AI models?
No, OpsIQ never trains AI models on your data and does not sell it. Only the context needed to answer a request is sent to the model provider you configure. With BYOK, that request goes straight to your own provider, whose data-use terms then apply.

Can I see exactly what the AI did?
Yes, AI History records the full prompt and response for every interaction, which is owner-only and exportable as CSV — ensuring there is no black box to explain to a compliance team.

Can the AI take actions on its own?
Only through action contracts. The AI cannot initiate operations; every write goes through an approved, scoped contract with validation, and for sensitive changes, a confirmation card is required.

How is customer consent handled?
The built-in cookie-consent platform enforces choices per category. When analytics consent is off, data capture genuinely stops rather than just hiding a banner.

Tracking and Analytics

Why is tracking important in OpsIQ?
